Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I go to any school and pick up meals?
    • Meals can be picked up at any location that is most convenient for you. Only one location may be visited for meal pick up per day. 

  • Do my kids need to be with me?
    • Children do not need to be present at the site to pick up meals. Meals are intended for children ages 18 months - 18 years old. 

  • Can I get meals for other kids?
    • Yes. Meals can be picked up for any children that are ages 18 months - 18 years old. 

  • Where can I find my students ID number?
    • Student ID numbers can be found on the parent portal. 

  • My child is not a TSD student. Can they still get meals for free?
    • Due to the U.S. Department of Agriculture waiver, Nutrition Services can serve any child ages 18 months - 18 years old free of charge. 

  • Why isn't the school closest to my house open for to-go meals?
    • We currently have 11 schools open for to-go meals located throughout the district. Due to staffing and equipment limitations we are not able to open all sites at this time. 

  • Can I pick up more than one day's worth of meals?
    • Nutrition Services will be distributing a hot lunch meal and a cold breakfast to go. Additional days are not allowed to be picked up since distribution sites will be open everyday Monday through Friday. 

  • Do I still need to apply for free and reduced meal benefits? If so, why?
    • Since the USDA waiver, which allows Nutrition Services to serve all children for free is temporary we are still encouraging all families to apply for benefits. Additionally, some fees and other funding opportunities are impacted by free and reduced meal statistics. 

  • I applied for free and reduced meal benefits and was denied. Can I still pick up meals?
    • Yes you can still pick up meals for free! All children ages 18 months - 18 years old are eligible for free meals due to the USDA waiver which is currently in effect now through December 31, 2020 at the latest. 

  • My child attends in person learning. Can they still receive free meals?
    • Yes they can still receive free meals! If a child attends in person learning the child will receive meals at school free of charge.

    • The menu can be found on our website, under the menu tab.
